Email is the fastest way to reach a human — there's only one of us, and you'll get a reply. Most things below you can also fix in about ten seconds yourself.
matthewgbusiness16@gmail.com — include your iPhone model and iOS version and we'll get to it faster. We aim to reply within two business days.
In the app: You → Manage subscription. Or on your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Daybreak. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the period ends.
New phone, or Plus not showing? You → Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account that bought it.
You → Delete account erases your records, journal, proof photos, and circle data on your device and in the cloud, permanently. It does not cancel a subscription — do that separately in Settings first.
Check three things, in this order. One: Daybreak needs notification and alarm permission — iPhone Settings → Daybreak. Two: Low Power Mode and Focus can suppress delivery, so allow Daybreak as a time-sensitive interruption. Three: the phone has to be on. If all three are right and it still missed, email us with the date and time and we'll dig in.
The match compares your morning photo with the reference you saved, so it's sensitive to big lighting changes — a spot that's bright in daylight and pitch dark at 5am is the usual culprit. Recalibrate the spot in the dark, at the hour you actually wake, and pick somewhere with a distinctive fixed object in frame.
No. That's the entire point of the app — there is no snooze button and no bypass. If you've set a spot you genuinely can't reach, recalibrate it to somewhere closer.
Never. Your circle sees that you're up and what time. The photo itself stays in private storage on your device and is never uploaded.
Use a streak saver to repair the day — you'll find them on the You screen. If the check-in genuinely didn't record, email us the date and we'll look at it.
Open Circle, tap the member, and remove the connection. They stop seeing your mornings immediately and you stop seeing theirs.
The alarm, the photo proof, and your streak all work fully offline. Your circle needs a connection to sync, and will catch up the next time you're online.
Send it to matthewgbusiness16@gmail.com. If it's a bug, the three things that help most are: what you expected, what happened instead, and roughly when it happened, so we can line it up with your check-ins.
